From Color Tools to a Full Coaching Process | COCORY Personal Color Curator Practice

After learning personal color theory and working with different analysis tools, the next step in Phương Anh’s COCORY Personal Color Curator Course was practice.

Previous classes covered color and personal color theory, skin measurement and data analysis with CUBE, Fashion Draping, the Makeup Color Kit, Lip Bar, and Brown Hair Color Kit.

The practice sessions brought these individual skills together.

Instead of learning another tool separately, Phương Anh practiced how to conduct a personal color coaching session from beginning to end and connect each stage into one complete process.

Connecting Individual Skills Into One Process

Knowing how to use each analysis tool is different from knowing how to conduct a complete personal color session with a client.

During an actual coaching session, the curator needs to understand what to check at each stage, which tools to use, how to interpret the findings, and how one part of the analysis leads into the next.

The practice sessions were designed to bring together the knowledge and tools covered in the previous classes and apply them within the full flow of personal color coaching.

Learning the Flow Through Practice

The practice began with step-by-step guidance from the instructor.

Phương Anh followed each stage while the instructor explained what to check, how to proceed, and how the different parts of the analysis connect.

This gave her an opportunity to experience the complete coaching flow while still receiving guidance throughout the process.

The training then progressed to model practice.

Working with a model, Phương Anh conducted the process from beginning to end on her own, using what she had learned in the previous classes to analyze, make decisions, and continue through each stage.

Rather than receiving the answers during every step, she completed the process first and received feedback from the instructor afterward.

Knowing the Tools Is Only Part of the Training

CUBE, Fashion Draping Tools, Makeup Color Kit, Lip Bar, and Brown Hair Color Kit each have a specific role within the analysis.

In an actual coaching session, however, these tools do not work as separate exercises.

The curator needs to connect the findings from different stages and translate the final result into practical guidance for fashion, makeup, lip color, hair color, and other everyday choices.

The purpose of these practice sessions was therefore not simply to repeat how each tool works, but to learn how the complete personal color coaching process comes together.

Practice, Independent Analysis, and Feedback

Model practice gives the student an opportunity to make their own decisions before receiving feedback.

By completing the process independently, the student can identify which parts have become familiar and which areas still need more practice.

The instructor then reviews the completed session and provides feedback on the process and analysis.

Learn the method → Practice the full process → Conduct the analysis independently → Review through feedback

This progression helps connect the theory and tools from earlier classes with the experience of conducting an actual personal color coaching session.
