Learning about color begins with understanding its language — and sometimes, that means learning in your own language.
This time, COCORY welcomed Phuong Anh, a student from Vietnam, to our Personal Color Curator Certificate Course. The class was conducted in Vietnamese, allowing her to engage with the theoretical concepts more comfortably and clearly.

Beginning with Color and Personal Color Theory
The first class focused primarily on the fundamental theories of color and personal color.
Building a strong theoretical foundation is an important first step before moving further into the Personal Color Curator curriculum. During the session, we explored key concepts that help students understand how color can be observed and interpreted from a more structured perspective.
Phuong Anh showed an impressive ability to absorb new information quickly. Even while working through unfamiliar concepts, she followed the lesson smoothly and demonstrated a strong understanding of the material introduced during the class.

Color Education Across Languages
For international students, understanding professional terminology can be just as important as understanding the overall concept.
This is especially true in color and personal color education, where subtle differences in terminology and theory can affect how each concept is understood.
To make COCORY’s education more accessible to international students, classes can be conducted in multiple languages, including English, Chinese, Cantonese, and Vietnamese.
Rather than allowing language to become a barrier to learning, we aim to create an environment where students can focus on understanding color theory and developing their knowledge step by step.

A Quiet but Meaningful First Step
This first session marked the beginning of Phuong Anh’s Personal Color Curator journey at COCORY.
With her quick understanding of the theoretical material, we look forward to seeing how her knowledge of color develops throughout the rest of the course.
Different languages, different backgrounds — but the same opportunity to understand color more deeply.
